One of the most astonishing things about the online 
gaming industry: you can actually use it to build a real 
business for yourself.

Another truly astonishing thing is how many different 
ways there are to make money with such a business.

For starters: You can farm in-game items and currency and 
sell that for real money. Or you can power level game 
accounts and sell them. Or you can become a broker and 
make a lucrative income buying game accounts and selling 
them for a profit.

These are some of the more common approaches. But there's 
so much more. The online gaming world is incredibly 
diverse and colorful-- and so are the ways you can make 
money with it.

Here are just a few more examples...

You can hire out your time in-game to people who want 
help leveling their characters or learning more advanced 
techniques. (This is the MMORPG equivalent of a "personal 
trainer".)

You can become a "hit man"-- or "hit person" if you 
prefer-- and charge people to attack and destroy their 
in-game enemies. (This is one of my personal favorites!)

You can specialize in the marketing end of things: There 
are countless gamers out there who know how to produce 
large stockpiles of unreal estate but don't know how to 
find customers. If you're good with eBay, you can team up 
with these people and make great commissions.

If you're an expert in a specific area of a game, you can 
publish a guide. (This is probably the most underrated 
method-- it strikes many as a "boring" way of making 
money... but it's a GREAT way to build a residual 
income.)

These are just a few examples. The MMORPG industry is 
incredibly vibrant. It's always growing and changing. New 
opportunities present themselves every day.

Those who seize the opportunities... PROFIT.
